Harbor Industries was awarded a Bronze OMA for the GE Slate display at Global Shop in Chicago on April 17th. The GE Slate Display was designed to introduce the new Slate Appliance line using a unique and innovative kitchen display that elevates the GE Brand. The display showcases the versatility of the new Slate line in a variety of kitchen settings by incorporating various colors of paint, cabinets and countertops in the display. The display was designed to accommodate various product configurations. The external framing system with lighting was designed to remain in store for future product launches. The Slate Display has a permanent aluminum truss system which frames the display. The upper horizontal extrusion has adjustable spotlights to highlight the various appliances featured in the display. The counters, back walls and accent pieces are vinyl laminated particle board. The back walls and accent pieces are miter folded. The counter tops are vacuum pressed. To avoid custom color matches, custom colors were silk screened on the final prior to processing. The GE Slate Display was very well received by GE's customers. Harbor received numerous calls from the stores complimenting the display. The display was critical to the successful launch of the new Slate line. Over 500 displays were placed in less than 3 months. The display allowed GE to reach their annualized sales goal in less than 60 days. Sales continue to grow! For more information contact:Harbor Industries, Inc.
